The
aim of the Devon
Guild,
as with all other Guilds of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers, is to
preserve and improve the crafts of weaving, spinning and dyeing by
hand.
If you are not a member, but are interested in fibre-crafts and textiles, we hope that you will find our site interesting, and that you may be tempted to visit a Guild meeting soon !
You don't need to already be a weaver, spinner or dyer to attend our meetings as a visitor or to join the Guild. If you live in Devon and want to learn any of these crafts, we can direct you towards the right places to go and the best people to see in your part of the county.If you live outside Devon, and want to find a Guild near to you, visit the website of the Association of Guilds of WSD (see below) and click on Guilds on the main menu.
